A story of two different perspectives. A look at the 21st century system education system, through the lens of Indian Textiles. Nobody is born out into the world, as a designer. There is a rigour, a discipline that is required to understand what other people need. Kalaa: India’s unified concept of architecture, design, engineering, is a language that is only recognised in what is now called as Indian craft. There are few schools that balance both contemporary and traditional practices in textile design. This documentary tries to come to terms with an inherited education system that could allow an entire nation to lose its culture and language and the few who are trying to keep it from perishing.
